The Hong Kong Marriage and Family Therapy Association (HKMFTA) will endeavor to:
advance the practice of marriage and family therapy for the benefit of the community;
create a platform for the facilitation of continuous dialogue among different family therapy approaches in Hong Kong;
establish standards for the conduct of marriage and family therapists in Hong Kong;
promote and maintain the professional interests and rights of marriage and family therapists;
foster a spirit of collaboration among marriage and family therapists and other mental health practitioners through facilitating the exchange of professional knowledge and experience;
enhance public awareness of family relational health and support the building of strong marriages and families; and
initiate and facilitate the research and development of culturally sensitive family practice.
